Breakthrough Autism Academy Aims to Help Children With Autism Reach Their Full Potential

Parents of children with autism who are looking to enhance their child’s development can now look forward to the opening of Breakthrough Autism Academy, a centre-based program for children with autism. The centre, opening September 2012, will be located at 519 Sixteenth Avenue in Richmond Hill (between Yonge and Bayview). The beautiful, free-standing space was created specifically for children with multiple rooms and a large outdoor play area.

“We feel that this extension of our home-based services will give families more options when it comes to quality services that help children with autism reach their full potential,” says Nancy Marchese, Executive Director and Founder at Breakthrough Autism.

    Parents should be aware that drug companies who are already in trouble for unethical practices are using Autism Speaks to fund research and promote products. Autism Academy has ties to Autism Speaks, so be careful. Rispetrdal, a drug with a black box warning might not be right for your child.
